3. Mysore Zoo (Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens)
One of the oldest zoos in India and a favourite with families. It is close to the palace, so it fits easily into your route.
4. St. Philomena’s Church
A striking neo-Gothic church with tall twin spires and stained-glass windows. A short, peaceful stop.
5. Srirangapatna (afternoon)
About 15 km from Mysore on the Bangalore road, Srirangapatna has the Ranganathaswamy Temple, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace (Daria Daulat Bagh) and the Gumbaz.
6. Brindavan Gardens (evening)
End the day at the terraced gardens below the KRS Dam. Check the musical fountain timings in advance, as they can change by season.
